While there are things about me that envy the "married life"... the idea of a husband and children, home cooked meals and family trips; there are moments when I absolutely ADORE my single life. Well, semi-single (until I have a ring on it..you know the rest).
I just had one of those moments. I loaded the dishwasher, grabbed dinner out of the fridge--tonight it's yogurt w/a little granola on top, and I lit a candle in the kitchen, trimmed the fresh flowers I bought a few days ago, all while being super careful not to mess up my freshly polished nails.

Essie: Sugar Daddy
As I walked down the hallway to my bedroom, I picked up my bottle of "Light Blue" that's been sitting on the wet bar for a few days, stepped over my cute new 9West sparkly peep toe pumps, and flopped down on my pillow-laden queen sized bed.
These are things that I will soon not be able to enjoy on a regular basis. The frills of being a girl are not erased post marriage...I just think that they are often times put on the back burner.
So for those of you--who like me--are semi-single, enjoy your crisp white sheets, impractical furniture and floor candles before you have to give them up for awhile.
Embrace singledom.
It's fabulous.
