But as you know, because of work, I have to be very conservative when it comes to my nails. I usually wear "It's Delicate" by Essie.

But I've found a new love for spring...and it's Bubble Bath by OPI. It's 7.99 and you can find it in most Ulta stores or online.

So pretty.

When I say I have been swamped, I have been swamped! The challenges of work, friendships, branding myself and working on my relationship w/the Mister is keeping me oh so busy. But there is no excuse. I forgot my therapeutic outlet, my blog!!!!

Yesterday, I did spend the day w/my new NC fab girlfriends for a day of pampering, shopping and a fun night on the town.

They are so fabulous: one does pharmaceutical sales, the other is a fabulous stay at home mom, and the third is the owner of my new favorite boutique: Poshh.

I'm the youngest of the pack which is usually the case. I find I have very little in common with women my age.

Anyway, I don't think I laughed so hard and felt so good with a group of sassy, polished and financially fit women in a looong time!

Like me, they work hard and play even harder!

Guess who got some new digs? 20-year-old country superstar Taylor Swift.
A cool $1.9 million landed her this bachlorette pad in Nashville. Nice.
Love this bedroom. It reminds me A LOT of my own (minus the view).

Oohh la, la.

Nice kitchen. Good to know she's taking her time to decorate....

THIS YEAR OF COURSE, I WILL SPEND THE DAY WITH THE MISTER. WHO REMINDS ME THAT EVERYDAY IS VALENTINE'S DAY. SO, WE DON'T BUY INTO THE HYPE...ESPECIALLY WITH THESE BEAUTIFUL LILLIES STARING AT ME FROM A FEW DAYS AGO;)

ANYWAY, WHAT WILL YOU DO THIS SUNDAY?

WILL YOU SULK BECAUSE THERE IS NO MAN...OR WOMAN IN YOUR LIFE? WILL YOU SPEND TIME WITH SOMEONE YOU REALLY DON'T CARE TO SPEND TIME WITH? WILL YOUR DRAG YOUR SIGNIFICANT OTHER OUT OF THE HOUSE JUST TO BE ABLE TO BOAST ABOUT YOUR VALENTINE'S DAY?

MY SUGGESTION....

DO YOU. REMEMBER, LOVE IS NOT MEASURED. IT'S NOT MARKED WITH A BIG HEART ON A CALENDAR. AND IT'S NOT WHAT SOMEONE ELSE SAYS IT SHOULD BE.

SO SPEND TIME DOING WHAT MAKES YOU LOVE YOU. WHETHER IT'S WITH FRIENDS, FAMILY, YOUR SWEETIE PIE, OR YOURSELF.

I am a huge fan of Kimora Lee Simmons. She is THE business woman, mother and wife and she doesn't mind telling it like it is. I didn't watch her show religiously but this season, I will. Check out the premier.

ABC has announced that it has cancelled the series: Ugly Betty.

After a successful run, the network blames declining viewership. I must admit, I never watched the show... I just couldn't get into it.

Hello blog world. I missed you!

First, let me apologize for meglecting you. The weekend that my friends visited, my computer crashed.

Yes. It crashed and burned.

I now have a stylish new computer that I am still trying to figure out. But the biggest mishap is that my old computer won't seem to let me get my file of pictures. I am crushed!!!!

So I am taking it back to the computer folks to see if they can help. I have TONS of photos that I oh so desperately need.

Anyway, in the meantime, I guess it's back to the drawing board. ***sigh***

Did I mention I missed you.

I'm back.

So I'm getting the guest room in order cause the girls are on their way. Well...they will be in a couple of hours.

I'm so excited to have two of my three best friends come to visit. One day they will all be here at the same time. However, I guess I can be forgiving of my third friend who just gave birth a month ago.

I have planned a weekend of food, fun and fabulousness to continue my week-long birthday celebration.

I love girl time!

Woo-hoo. So I am officially on vacation. And boy do I need it. I am so sick of working weekends, I don't know what to do with myself. So a little bit of a vacation is always nice. Even though I'm under the weather, it's good to know that I can relax!!!!

How will you help others this year. Will you switch up your typical way of giving or will you do something that's uncomfortable?

This year I pledged to give over and above to others...without question...without judgement.

I started by buying gifts for others on my birthday. I not yet at the point financially where I can write big checks BUT the size of my heart is huge and I love to share that with others when they are least expecting it.

Whether its picking up a few extra canned foods when you do your grocery shopping to give to a soup kitchen...or volunteering with Habitat for Humanity one Saturday. A small gesture can mean a lot.

So, how will you pledge to give this year?

So..... the girls will be here in a matter of days and guess who's sick?!! Can you believe this crap?!

I am stuffy and icky and all kinds of mess. So I took the day off and I plan to dope myself up before hitting the gym HARD later.

So today I had a reat, great day! It was a wonderful birthday. I went shopping this morning for a men's homeless shelter. I left work early then I had a wonderful, wonderful evening with The Mister.

I got gifts, he got gifts, strangers got gifts. I couldn't think of a better way to spend my last 20 something birthday;)

Guess who has a birthday tomorrow? Me, me, me!!!!!

It's the official start of my new year. I really don't have any resolutions. I'm not sweating the small stuff and paying attention to every detail of my life.

The first detail is the cold that my nephew apparently passed on to me. Ick! The sniffles are not sexy!
